Flinders and CSIRO are jointly running a careers-focused event for senior school students on the Flinders campus on June 22 and 25.
The event offers a chance to learn about careers in science and is ideally suited to Year 11s, but Years 10 and 12 students are also welcome.
As well as hands-on workshops, three young scientists – Nathan O’Callaghan and Bianca Benassi-Evans from CSIRO and Natalya Schmerl from Flinders – will talk about their career paths.
The hands-on workshops will include Food for Healthy Mind & Bodies, Soil and Water Analysis, and Video Game Development.
Students can also talk to staff about the study options available at Flinders and where studying biology, chemistry, physics and IT can lead in terms of careers.
The full-day experience will be held on Friday 22 June and repeated on Monday 25 June.
