Flinders University has made a strong debut in this year’s CEO Magazine Global MBA Rankings, marking a new milestone for the University’s growing Master of Business Administration program.
Evaluated with more than 340 MBA programs in 24 countries, the Flinders MBA was ranked in the top tier of the 2026 Global MBA Rankings, and at equal 36 in the annual Global Online MBA Rankings (CEO Magazine).
Dr Afshin Tanouri, Director of the Flinders University MBA, says the rankings alongside some of the world’s leading

business schools reflect the growing strength, quality, and reputation of the Flinders Business School.
“Over the past three years, the Flinders MBA has more than doubled in size, due to growing demand and the relevance of our curriculum,” says Dr Tanouri.
“Our MBA portfolio now includes a one-year fast-track option, fully online asynchronous delivery, seven specialisations, a two-year industry intensive MBA, and an innovative four-year PhD MBA.
“We have embedded AI skills across all streams of the program, ensuring graduates develop the capability to critically apply emerging technologies in response to industry needs and evolving business trends.”
The MBA options appeal to a range of study needs and goals – from company CEO and senior management to young professionals entering a competitive job market.
For example, international student Susan Abraham has just completed the two-year MBA program at Flinders University and has started working full-time as a human-resources assistant with a South Australian company.

“I really enjoyed the student experience and particularly the inbuilt games and interactive online coursework,” says Ms Abraham, who graduated this month.
“It was during a work placement in second year that I discovered my interest in HR and recruitment so have been able to concentrate my studies in the field I’m now building a career.”
Ms Abraham says it was “destiny” that she chose Flinders University for her masters degree from among other Australian universities she considered.
She not only enjoyed the course and Adelaide lifestyle, but also valued the strong sense of community and connections she built during her time at Flinders.
Flinders Business School Dean, Professor Angie Abdel Shafei says the rankings highlight Flinders’ commitment to designing an MBA tailored to contemporary professional needs.
“Our MBA is built for real-world impact. It’s flexible, industry connected, and focused on student success,” says Professor Shafei.
“To see the program recognised globally confirms that our model is resonating with learners and employers alike.”

Professor Michael Gilding, Vice President and Executive Dean of the College of Business, Creative Arts, Law and Social Sciences says the result affirms Flinders University’s direction in business education.
“Achieving Tier One Global MBA status on our first entry into the CEO Magazine rankings is an outstanding endorsement of Flinders’ business programs,” Professor Gilding says.
“It reflects our ambition, the quality of our academic staff, and the strength of our industry informed curriculum.”
The global MBA Rankings compiled by reputed business publisher CEO Magazine serve as a guide to quality of faculty, learning environment, modality and flexibility of delivery, tuition fees, class size, international diversity, gender parity, career outcomes, and more.
As the Flinders Business School continues to grow, the MBA remains a flagship program for emerging and established professionals looking to accelerate their careers.
