Climate change has become one of the most significant and fastest growing threats to people and their cultural heritage worldwide. The remote Pacific archipelagos of Kiribati in Micronesia has 33 islands (32 atolls and table reefs and one higher island - Banaba) has been subjected to radical landscape changes in recent years and will be even more heavily affected by climate change in the foreseeable future.
