Flinders University has lost a great supporter and friend with the sudden death yesterday of Mr Allen Bolaffi, the Vice-Chancellor Professor Michael Barber said today.
“Allen brought a fine mind, analytical skills and great experience to the University Council’s Audit Committee where he made an invaluable contribution over more than a decade of service.
“But what set Allen apart and made his contribution to Flinders so special, was the commitment and drive he gave to this University, particularly since September last year as a member of the New Venture Institute’s Advisory Board. Allen embodied everything that the NVI is about – an optimism for the future based on developing entrepreneurism, giving people the confidence to succeed in business, and creating the jobs and economic growth that Australia so badly needs.
“Allen’s wise counsel, good humour, and boundless energy will be sadly missed by the Flinders’ community and all who knew this generous and much respected man. Flinders extends its sincere condolences to Allen’s family.”
