Flinders University’s Professor Keryn Williams, the sight pioneer who leads the Australian Corneal Graft Registry, has been awarded a Companion of the Order of Australia in the Australia Day Honours.
Flinders University’s past and present staff and graduates have been praised for their outstanding contributions to the community is this year’s Australia Day honours, with a total of 16 awards given to University affiliates.
Emeritus Professor Ian Maddocks, the first Chair of Palliative Care at Flinders, has been named The Australian Senior of the Year.
A total of 10 Flinders graduates and former and current staff of the University have been recognised for their diverse achievements with the award of Australia Day honours.
