Flinders to strengthen southern links with grant

Flinders University’s ambition to expand tertiary education, contribute to the skills required in a changing regional economy and engage with the community has been boosted with a $3.25 million grant from the Federal Government.

Flinders and Chinese scholars exchange ideas

There are some new faces at Flinders University: a group of Chinese academics will be on the campus for four months as part of a joint mentoring scheme between the University and the Beijing Teachers’ Training Centre for Higher Education.

Excellence in Indigenous education recognised

Flinders University’s Yunggorendi First Nations Centre for Higher Education and Research has received a United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Award for “excellence and innovation in teaching, recruitment and support of Indigenous students to higher education”.

Engineering students successful again

Flinders engineering undergraduates have maintained a strong performance by the University in one of the leading competitions for engineering prowess taking out first and second places in 2008.
