Flinders draws a crowd at Tonsley

Visitors at the Tonsley site

Flinders University was on site last weekend at Tonsley as TAFE SA gave the public a sneak peak at the training facility in their new Sustainable Industries Education Centre.

Around 2,000 visitors looked around the campus and visited the Flinders at Tonsley display.

They saw how  construction had progressed on Flinders University’s new $120 million, six storey, 16,000 square metre building, which officially opens in January 2015 and will be the new home of the University’s School of Computer Science Engineering and Mathematics.

The site will also house Flinders’ New Venture Institute, Medical Device Research Institute, Flinders Partners, Southern Knowledge Transfer Partnership and the Centre for Nanoscale Science and Technology.
